Lora

This is my cousin Lora. Isn't she cute? Lora blogs here and here. She's knocking down the bird nest off the air conditioner. It sounds like this is a daily activity for her. They must be very stubborn birds.
I was locked out of my house when I came home from Minot last Saturday and had to stay with Lora. It's nice to have someone close by to call when that kind of stuff happens. Luckily it doesn't happen very often. Here's the really dumb thing. I had to wait until Sunday afternoon for someone to bring me a key from Jeff. (Jeff was in Fargo and a friend of his was coming home on Sunday.) When I was digging through my purse on Wednesday, I found my other set of car keys. There was a house key on that set. I had no idea that I had them in my purse.
It was nice to visit with Lora though.

Planting

Jeff is so funny. When I told him last week that I wanted to plant a garden, he said that he didn't want to have anything to do with it. We had someone come over on Friday to dig it up, but I left town before he was even finished. Jeff wasn't leaving until the next morning and he planted peas, carrots and radishes before he left. It was raining when I got home, and I haven't been around again until tonight. I stopped at the store on my way home and picked up some plants and some seeds. Before I had a chance to go outside, Jeff grabbed the onions and was heading out to plant them. He dug the row, and I placed the onions. I then covered them with dirt and he walked right behind me putting more dirt on top. I guess that I wasn't doing it right. I guess that's his way of not having anything to do with the garden. =D

Painted Woods Creek

Jeff wanted to go fishing tonight and asked me if I wanted to go along. It was a beautiful evening, so I grabbed the camera and went with him. These are a few of the pictures I was able to capture. I'm learning how to go "manual" with the camera, and I'm really pleased with how these turned out.

New Garden

This year I'm taking the plunge and I'm going to plant a garden back in the corner of the yard. I'm hoping that I will have at least a little more time this summer to do the weeding and such. I know that Jeff does not want to help, so I'll be on my own. We have someone coming over tomorrow to to the tilling. Wish me luck.

Weekend at Brandy's

I needed a "kid fix" this weekend, so we headed up to Brandy's. It was a nice weekend with the kids, only I wish the wind would have quit blowing so we could have played outside more.

Quit taking pictures!!
Look at those blue eyes!! (Ignore the bloody nose.)
